Biography: As the founding member of Koenig|Dunne Divorce Law, Susan sets the standard for excellence. With Susan's experience of over 30 years of negotiating and litigating divorces in Nebraska, clients can be confident that a strategic plan will be developed to focus on what matters most to them. As a Certified Family Law Mediator and a Certified Collaborative Attorney, Susan believes in pursuing satisfying negotiated settlements whenever possible, a philosophy shared by all lawyers in the firm. Now serving the "of counsel" role for the firm, Susan continues her service to clients assisting in legal analysis and litigation strategy with our attorneys. Susan co-authored Divorce in Nebraska: The Legal Process, Your Rights, and What to Expect (Addicus Publishing) to make the divorce process easier for her clients. Her work also appears in the Creighton Law Review, The Nebraska Lawyer, St. Louis Public Law Review, and the National Women Lawyers Journal. She also co-authored Success Simplified with Stephen Covey. Susan's contributions extend from her profession to her community. She's received a host of awards including the Outstanding Contribution to Women and the Law Award, the Nebraska Association of Social Workers Citizen of the Year Award, and the Sarpy County CASA Spirit of One Award for her work on behalf of abused and neglected children. Fellow attorneys have given her an AV rating, identifying her as an attorney with very high to preeminent legal ability. In 2008 Susan was inducted as a Nebraska State Bar Fellow. Susan is a summa cum laude graduate of Drake University and received her Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts in 1981. She studied under the renowned coach, Dr. Maria Nemeth, and is a graduate of the Academy for Coaching Excellence in Sacramento, California.
