Biography: Jillian R. Orticelli is an Associate in the Hartford, Connecticut, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice is focused on employment litigation and preventive counseling. Ms. Orticelli represents employers in state and federal court and administrative agency proceedings. Her experience includes defense of claims for wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment and retaliation, restrictive covenant and trade secret misappropriation litigation, wage and hour, including collective actions, and appellate practice. Ms. Orticelli also assists employers in preparing employee handbooks and workplace policies and conducts employee training seminars and investigations. Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Ms. Orticelli served as law clerk to Ellen Ash Peters, Chief Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court (ret.), and Antoinette L. Dupont, Chief Judge of the Connecticut Appellate Court (ret.), at the Connecticut Appellate Court, and worked as an employment litigation associate for a boutique management-side labor and employment law firm in Connecticut. While attending law school, Ms. Orticelli was a Notes and Comments Editor of the Connecticut Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Board. She was also a Judge Jon O.
