Biography: Richard Boucher, Esq. is a life-long resident of the Dayton area and has practiced in the areas of business law, business litigation, divorce, custody, family law, probate and personal injury in Dayton and the surrounding area for twenty-three years. He graduated from Oakwood High School then from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication. After graduating in 1985 from The Capital University in Columbus where he received his Juris Doctorate degree, Mr. Boucher began his legal career as owner and sole proprietor of Richard A. Boucher, Esq., a general practice law office. In 1991, Mr. Boucher became the youngest partner in the full service law firm of Altick & Corwin Co., L.P.A. which employed over 20 attorneys. After six years with Altick & Corwin Co., Mr. Boucher opened Boucher & Boucher Co., L.P.A. in 1997. As president, Mr. Boucher directs and oversees the day-to-day operation of this full service law firm, employing two attorneys and three staff members. He concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, business litigation, divorce, custody, family law, probate and personal injury. The firm presently represents over 80 small to medium sized corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships, several large, national corporations and one Fortune 500, multi-national corporation as well as fulfilling the needs of individuals in their personal business transactions. After participating in over 100 civil trials, Mr. Boucher offers a level of commitment and success for every client he represents, from a large corporation to the owner of the smallest business. In 2000, as an additional service to his real estate clients, Mr. Boucher established Augusta Title Agency, Inc., a full service real estate title company serving the Dayton Metropolitan Area, including Clark, Greene, Miami, Montgomery and Warren counties. The company offers title insurance and closing services for residential and commercial transactions including new construction. Mr. Boucher serves as president of Augusta Title Agency, Inc. Mr. Boucher has the additional advantage of experiencing the law from both sides of the judicial bench and can employ this knowledge and background to better serve his clients. Since 1991 he has been an acting magistrate of Kettering Municipal Court. In his capacity as magistrate, he has conducted several hundred civil trials including small claims court. Mr. Boucher is an active member of several legal organizations and associations, including Dayton Bar Association, Greene County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Ohio Association of Trial Lawyers, and the Ohio Association of Magistrates. He has lectured as a guest speaker at numerous probate and business law seminars and is a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Volunteer Lawyers Project. He also volunteers for Wills for Heroes and the Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project. Richard and his wife, Lisa, have been married for 23 years, and reside in the beautiful community of Kettering. Lisa is a part time registered nurse and an aspiring author with one self-published novel under her belt and several more in the works. Their two sons, Austin and Collin, currently play football at Miami University on scholarship where they continue their education and the love of the game they won accolades for at the high school level.
