Biography: Mike began his legal career in 2002. Mike focuses his legal practice in assisting his clients exclusively in all areas of family law in Fort Wayne (Allen County), and all other counties throughout Northeast Indiana. His focus is to assist his clients in all family law related areas, including but not limited to: dissolution, post-dissolution modifications, paternity actions, custody disputes, child support related matters, adoption, parenting time issues, and guardianships. Mike's dedication, commitment, preparation, and his overall experiences are quickly evident upon speaking with him. You will understand that Mike's passion and dedication for assisting clients in their time of legal need is quite obvious from the moment you meet him. While Mike's experience and training has him prepared for any courtroom, he continues to strive to assist his clients by working toward well-crafted settlements in order to save time and money. The benefits of a timely settlement alleviate many stressors that come with family law matters, especially in cases where children are involved. The children of the family will benefit greatly by eliminating the fighting and stress during this time between the parents. Unfortunately, no matter how hard Mike attempts to reach a settlement for his client's, due to reasons and circumstances, out of his and his client's control, the matter must go to a court hearing/trial. If that should result, you will see Mike "fight the fight" to continue to strive to meet his clients' goals. Mike recently received a "Distinguished" rating (BV) through Martindale-Hubbell, as rated by other attorneys and judicial officers. Read more about Mike at www.shilts.com.
